Chorakuen

Established in 1868, Chorakuen is a traditional ryokan situated in the centre of the Tamatsukuri Onsen spa area. The property is known for its expansive, 33, 000-square-metre circuit-style Japanese garden. Guests can experience a variety of hot spring baths, including what is noted as Japan's largest open-air, mixed-gender bath. Additional facilities include indoor and outdoor same-sex baths and private rental baths. Accommodation choices range from authentic Japanese-style rooms to Japanese/Western-style rooms with beds. Select rooms feature a private open-air bath, and all guest rooms are equipped with a private bathroom where the water is supplied from the hot spring.
