Cap Cove Resort, Saint Lucia

The tranquil resort has the feel of an exclusive gated residential area. The 34 colonial and chateau-style villas are nestled just beyond the posh St. Lucia Country Club along a crescent-shaped beach on the island's northeastern shore. Cap Cove resort really feels like a little village-a main row lined with townhouse-style accommodations branches off to smaller enclaves featuring access to a stunning and tranquil pool. It's the villas and townhouses that are the real lure. They are airy and comfortable. Eclectic but tasteful furnishings-hardwood floors, British colonial-style sofas and chairs stacked high with plush pillows, with some featuring intricate Persian rugs, and slick modern art. Every room has a full kitchen featuring granite countertops, falcon ranges, washers, more cookware and flatware than probably necessary. The furnished balconies and terraces provide a self-contained sanctuary giving very little reason to leave. When venturing outdoors, the resort pool is serene with comfortable lounge chairs, a small whirlpool and a tiki bar, and just steps away from Cas en Bas beach.
